December Subscription Box

In December's subscription box activity participants created their own gingerbread cookies for the holidays, and learned a little about the history of gingerbread.

Did you know ?
  • The largest gingerbread house was built in Texas and was roughly the size of a regular house at 60'x42'
  • In Medieval England, the term gingerbread simply meant preserved ginger and wasn't applied to the desserts.  We now know until the 15th century; the term is now applied to any type of sweets that combine ginger, honey or molasses.

***If your child participated in the subscription box program please consider returning the evaluation form that was included in the last kit.***

Congratulations to the winners from the December 4-H Gingerbread House Contest: Lily Lineberry, Abigail Martin, and Scarlett Williams. Congratulations girls and great work!!!
