4-H Summer Opportunities

Are you looking for something for your child/children to do this summer? Then we have several opportunities to get your kids outside and involved in educational and fun opportunities. Click the learn more below for a list of camps and how to enroll.
Photo Contest
Alexander County 4-H Is excited to announce we are offering a Nature Photography contest. We are encouraging kids to get outdoors. Take pictures of things you encounter out in Nature: Birds, Trees, Flowers, Wildlife, etc. choose your best one, and submit it via email to dj_salyer@ncsu.edu. Include your name and age in the email.  The deadline to submit will be July 16th @ 5:00pm.  Winners will be announced the following Monday. Prizes will be offered.
NC 4-H Congress
If you would like to participate in NC 4-H Congress please email DJ Salyer at dj_salyer@ncsu.edu so information can be sent to you as it is made available.  Please hold the following dates:  July 19th-22nd  

4-H Showcase of Talent

Do you have a talent that you would like to showcase in the
4-H Entertains? If so please contact DJ Salyer at 828-632-3125 or dj_salyer@ncsu.edu to receive more information regarding how to participate. Local registration has to be completed by Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Please act fast to get registered!
